CBSE 10 class students of this current academic year or so are among the early recipients of the Continuous Extensive Evaluation (CCE) system introduced by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Far apart from the students in the previous steps, the students studying on CBSE 10th class have the choice of not looking for the board exams. They can do so by just opting for CCE ?an assessment process that is based on round-the-year, comprehensive evaluation. Under CCE, people are required to take 2 summative and four formative assessments that may incorporate paper-pencil tests along with other formative assessments tools which include classroom quizzes, plans etc. However, the students who wish to appear intended for board exams should send in their requisition thus to their respective schools stating that they want to appear to get Summative Assessment-II conducted by the Fundamental Board of Additional Education.

Grading Routine Assessment System under CCE

As mentioned above, students who have got opted for CCE have to show up for summative formative evaluations on the basis of which college students will be graded because of their performance. The entire instructional year of CBSE Tenth class is divided in to two semesters. For the latest academic year, a good weightage of 40% is being coupled to the first semester when the second semester features a 60% weightage. However, from upcoming academic year the two semesters will carry matched weightage i.e. 50% every one. The grading technique adopted by CBSE is dependant on a 9 factor scale. Students whom score between 91-100 spots will be awarded quality A1, where as learners who score somewhere between 81-90, 71-80, 61-70, 51-60, 41-50, 33-40, 21-32 20 and listed below will be awarded qualities A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D, E1 E2 correspondingly. With each grade certain grade points are awarded, for example scholars who score a good A1 grade will probably be awarded 10 rank points, a student having A2 grade will get In search of grade points so forth and so forth.
